American baritone, Nathan De'Shon Myers is an artist with international appeal. He has been a featured soloist with several companies including Staatsoper Berlin, Stadttheater Trier, Theater Magdeburg, Chautauqua Opera, Dallas Opera and Chicago Lyric Opera. With over 200 performances as soloist with the distinguished Deutsche Oper Berlin from 2007 through 2012, Mr. Myers has been seen in a variety of roles including Schaunard in La Boheme, Ping in Turandot, Dancairo in Carmen, Marullo in Rigoletto, Il Prologo in Cassandra, Silvano in Ballo in Maschera, Matthieu in Andrea Chenier, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Marquis d'Obigny in La Traviata, Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro and as both the Erzbischof and Florent d’illiers in the world premiere of Walter Braunfels’ Szenen aus dem Leben der Heiligen Johanna among many others. Collaborating with such noted artists as Vittorio Grigolo, Elena Garancia, Neil Schicoff, Larry Brownlee, Joyce DiDonato, Johan Botha, Elisabeth Futral, Maestro Marco Armiliato and many others.  Earlier this year he performed the role of Eumete in a new version of Monteverdi’s Ulysses with Opera Louisiane.  He was also featured in the title role of Ernst Krenek’s Jonny Spielt Auf with the Salzburg Landestheater in Austria just before heading to Italy to sing the title role of Gianni Schicchi with the Almafi Coast Music Festival. In early 2015, Myers created the role of Julian in Mary Alice Rich’s opera, Wading Home. Lauded for his flexible baritone and consummate stage presence, he has enjoyed critical acclaim for his performances on the operatic and concert stage as well as the crossover stage. A highly versatile artist, Nathan has begun to make a mark on the contemporary music scene with the recent release oh his debut solo gospel album – Making A Way and can also be heard on Kirk Franklin’s latest album, Losing My Religion released in late 2015. Nathan received his Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from SMU. In addition to performing, he currently serves as Music Coordinator and Director of Opera at the Booker T. Washington H.S.P.V.A. in Dallas, Texas and splits his time between the stage and the classroom. Upcoming performances include a new music recital in Dallas and a set of opera concerts this summer in Frankfurt, Germany.
