Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs
Todd Calvin is currently vice president of business and legal affairs for Viacom Media Networks in Los Angeles. His responsibilities include negotiating agreements for the development and production of live-action scripted, unscripted and digital-media programs for Nickelodeon and TV Land. He also advises his network partners regarding intellectual property, labor/employment, guild and contract matters. He was previously an entertainment attorney at the Walt Disney Company.
Prior to his entertainment law experience, Todd worked at the San Francisco Opera under both Lotfi Mansouri and Pamela Rosenberg. He was head of the rehearsal department for both the main house and the Merola program. He also handled visa and immigration matters for Merola and participated in negotiations with AGMA and AFM.
In 2014, Todd was selected by Opera America for its Leadership Intensive program. He is a member of the board of directors of Long Beach Opera, where he serves on the finance and development committees. He is also an active member of the Los Angeles Opera League. In the fall of 2016, Todd earned a certificate from the Lily Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University in the areas of planned giving and fundraising.
Todd also produced the television film “Off-Season” for Showtime, which won an Emmy, and has since become a holiday perennial.
